Do you want to change lives and influence community attitudes about employment of people with disability?
Hotel Etico is the first social enterprise hotel that trains and employs young people with a disability. Once they complete their training with us, we help them search for a job within the tourism and hospitality industry that aligns with their goals.
At Hotel Etico, we believe that meaningful employment at award wages is a fundamental human right. Work provides far more than a pay cheque, it creates independence, dignity, purpose, and the opportunity to fully participate in community life. Our program is built on the belief that people with disabilities deserve the same opportunities as anyone else: to build careers, develop confidence, earn their own income, and experience the pride that comes from contributing to a workplace.
Participants (Trainees) live and train onsite, two (2) nights and three (3) days a week while gaining hands-on experience across hotel departments such as housekeeping, food and beverage, and kitchen operations. Alongside their hospitality training, they also build essential life skills in the Academy of Independence where they learn independent living skills.
As a Support Worker with us, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to achieve open employment and live richer, more independent lives. Hotel Etico is currently recruiting Support Staff to join us across multiple locations with multiple opportunities.
Please indicate clearly what location you are applying for.
Support staff are employed under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award.
