Hope Street Youth and Family Services Ltd ("Hope Street") has over 35 years of experience delivering specialist services to young people and their families experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.
If you have completed or are in the final year of a relevant Bachelors Degree and have experience in delivering effective youth-focused services to young people, we want to hear from you!
We are looking for a positive and dedicated Youth Residential Support Worker with flexibility to work at both our Brunswick West and Melton Youth Refuge Services. If you are only able to work at one of these locations please highlight this in your Cover Letter. In this role you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in young people’s lives. On a day to day basis you will provide support and assistance with living skills, you will also assist young people to follow up actions from their case management plans including housing, income, education and training, health and wellbeing, general living skills and recreational activities.
You have completed or are in the final year of a Bachelors Degree in Youth Work, Social Work, or relevant Health Sciences degree. You have relevant experience and are looking forward to starting a role where you can have a real impact. You have demonstrated knowledge of youth focused practice frameworks such as strengths based or trauma informed practice. You have highly developed communication skills including relationship building, problem solving, report writing, and you pride yourself on your ability to motivate and advocate for clients to achieve outcomes. You would describe yourself as a team player and you enjoy interacting with a wide range of people. You are competent using the full suite of Microsoft applications and maintain accurate administrative records and progress notes.
You will be available to work a roster that includes day, evening and weekend shifts.
Classification: SCHCADS Award 2010, Level 3
