About the Opportunity

We are looking for a positive and dedicated Youth Residential Support Workers in Melton for part-time fixed term position, working 30 hrs per fortnight. In this role you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in young people’s lives. You will assist young people to access and maintain employment, engage in training and participate in their community. On a day to day basis you will provide assistance with living skills and household tasks such as food shopping, cooking and cleaning. You will also complete client file notes as needed and assist with administration duties to help operations run smoothly.

About You

You have a relevant tertiary qualification in social sciences, human services, community studies and relevant experience and are looking forward to starting a role where you can have a real impact. You have highly developed communication skills including relationship building, problem solving, report writing and you pride yourself on your ability to motivate and advocate for clients to achieve outcomes. You would describe yourself as a team player and you enjoy interacting with a wide range of people. You are competent using the full suite of Microsoft applications and don’t mind helping out with administrative tasks as needed.

You will be able to work 30 hours per fortnight; the shifts include Saturday and Sunday weekend work plus one Friday a fortnight and a sleepover; all with attractive penalties.
