Diversion Officer - Kalgoorlie

Hope Community Services

Support people to create positive change. Join our dedicated team at Hope Community Services and help individuals navigate pathways away from substance use and justice involvement through therapeutic support, advocacy, and community connection.

About Us

For over 120 years, Hope Community Services has supported Western Australians affected by alcohol and other drug use, justice involvement, mental health challenges, and social disadvantage. We meet people where they are, with empathy, respect, and belief in their potential.

About the Role

  • Preparing assessments and recommendations for courts regarding treatment needs
  • Supporting clients to engage with treatment services, education, and therapeutic programs
  • Coordinating and supporting regional diversion initiatives including AOD diversion, cannabis intervention, police diversion, and youth pre-sentence programs
  • Building strong relationships with justice agencies, service providers, and community stakeholders
  • Supporting clients through court processes and promoting pathways that reduce reoffending
  • Maintaining accurate client records, reporting, and program data
  • Promoting culturally secure, person-centred, and trauma-informed practice in all service delivery
