Kanyirninpa Jukurrpa (KJ) has a rewarding opportunity for a personable and energetic manager to join our team. The Manager of Country and Culture programs is a senior management role that will see you providing strategic leadership, direction and oversight of the delivery of the country and culture programs and proactively ensuring the all of KJ’s programs are being developed and delivered from a Martu cultural perspective.
KJ is focused on three complementary objectives:
To do so, KJ delivers a suite of social, cultural, environmental, and economic programs. KJ has a strong reputation for engaging and supporting the Indigenous Martu people in successfully delivering these programs and is the biggest employer of Martu in the region.
The successful applicant will be a skilled and resilient individual, with initiative and experience in managing a diverse team who deliver and a range of projects in a complex and changeable operating environment
It is essential that you are self-motivated, passionate, innovative, creative, and resourceful. Working closely with Martu requires you to be adaptive and consultative, and it demands the ability to listen to, understand and respect Martu views and attitudes.
Experience with a not-for-profit organisation and Indigenous Australians is desirable but not essential.
