About Us

Gambara is an established environmental rehabilitation and revegetation business delivering projects across Western Australia for government, mining and industrial clients.

With a strong portfolio of existing contracts and significant opportunities for future growth, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the next phase of the business.

This is a senior executive leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, commercial performance and operational oversight of the business. Reporting directly to the Board, you will help shape the company's future growth strategy while leading contract delivery, client relationships, business development and organisational capability.

The opportunity

As General Manager, you will:

• Lead implementation of the business strategy and growth objectives 
• Provide executive oversight of multiple contracts, projects and client relationships 
• Drive commercial performance, contract management and margin improvement 
• Lead and develop senior managers, project teams and contractors 
• Ensure strong governance, safety, quality and compliance across the business 
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships 
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, industry stakeholders and partners 
• Provide regular operational, financial and strategic reporting to the Board

About you:

You are a commercially minded leader who combines strategic thinking with a practical approach to delivery.

You will bring:

• Senior leadership experience within contracting, environmental services, infrastructure or a related industry 
• Demonstrated success managing commercial contracts and service delivery across multiple clients 
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts and business performance 
• Proven ability to lead senior managers and high-performing teams 
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills 
• Experience driving operational discipline, continuous improvement and business growth 
• A collaborative leadership style and commitment to maintaining strong workplace culture 

Environmental rehabilitation or land management experience is desirable but not essential.
