About the Role:
The Project Officer is responsible for the coordination and delivery of program activities, with a particular focus on health service delivery, and also including health service awareness, education and community engagement initiatives. Specifically, the Project Officer will work closely with the Programs Manager to implement, monitor, evaluate and report on a portfolio of projects.

What You Will Bring:
- Degree qualifications with relevant experience or associate diploma with substantial experience, preferably in health, human services, community development or public health, or relevant industry experience.
- Experience in health service delivery working with marginalised people, and a strong track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent community engagement skills and/or community development experience.
- An understanding of person-centred care and experience working in highly effective collaborative partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders including consumers, clinicians/specialists, GPs, health service providers and government.
- Highly developed communication, analytical, problem solving and influencing skills with a proven ability to build effective relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge and understanding of State and Commonwealth priorities, strategies and policies around HIV, Viral Hepatitis and STIs and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and facilitate workshops and information sessions.
- Ability to work effectively with others, taking personal responsibility for achieving collective work outcomes, as well as the ability to work independently.
- Motivation and enthusiasm with a strong sense of personal accountability and resilience.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- A solution-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy including experience with MS Office, Outlook, and online research skills.
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
- Must be able to travel, if required.
- Out-of-hours work may be required on occasion.
- A valid QLD Drivers' Licence, ability to obtain a Criminal History Check (QLD only), and Working with Children Check – Blue Card.
