We’re looking for a social media specialist who’s ready to take the next step in their career with a growing national charity.

About the opportunity

The purpose of this role is to publish, monitor and respond to activity on all social channels, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Reporting to the Communications Manager and working as part of a team of 7 you'll be responsible for:

  • creating and maintaining a social media calendar
  • publishing content across all channels
  • monitoring and responding to comments and managing social inboxes
  • gathering results and reporting on social media effectiveness
  • assisting with maintaining ourYouTube Channel
  • supporting the development of the social media strategy and plans for each platform
  • identifying opportunities for new platforms and profiles
  • maintaining the Digital Asset Library of content (Pics.io)
  • supporting your marketing communications team colleagues, as required.

About you

You’re a digital native who’s passionate about social media and wants to really make your mark by improving and growing our social media presence.

You’re proactive and organised with exceptional communications skills, a can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow.

We’d love you to bring:

  • at least 6-12 months experience in a similar role
  • demonstrated hands-on experience managing multiple social media channels
  • excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
  • a creative mindset and track record creating vibrant and compelling social content
  • experience using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
  • proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
  • ability to work autonomously and in a fast-paced environment
  • maturity and emotional resilience to deal with sensitive content and comments in our online community.
