We partner with local governments, community groups, and organisations to drive real, evidence‑based change. ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you’ll help shape how Healthy Cities Australia tells its story and connects with communities nationwide. You’ll lead digital communications, craft meaningful content, and grow our reach and membership. Collaborating with the CEO and program teams, you’ll help amplify initiatives that create healthier, more equitable cities. Your work will play a vital part in strengthening partnerships and driving positive change.
- Create engaging content and campaigns that lift our profile and celebrate the work we do.
- Lead our digital channels — social media, website, and email — with creativity and confidence.
- Grow our national membership program through compelling storytelling and targeted campaigns.
- Build strong relationships with partners, supporters, and community stakeholders.
- Support the CEO and Program Leads to promote life‑changing programs across Australia.
- Use data and insights to help us work smarter, reach further, and increase our impact.
- Maintain consistent, on‑brand messaging across all communications.
- Contribute to strategic communication planning and organisation‑wide projects.

If you’ve worked in communications, marketing, community engagement, or similar roles — especially in health, social impact, or the not‑for‑profit space — even better!
Essentials:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Experience in social media management, content creation, and digital advertising.
- Strong writing skills and confidence working across digital platforms.
- Familiarity with email marketing, SEO and analytics tools, and basic website management.
