Situated in the rich soils of the Darling Downs, Dalby is just 211 km north west of Brisbane and is at the crossroads to Toowoomba, Kingaroy, Roma, Mundubbera and Goondiwindi.

Dalby and the surrounding Western Downs region is at the centre of rich coal and natural gas reserves.

The region is renowned as a rich agricultural area, growing crops such as cotton, sorghum, wheat, barley, chickpeas, sunflowers, mung beans and corn as well as the production of lamb, beef and pork.

The Dalby Region is a vibrant 'go ahead' rural community with a town population of approximately 12,000 with a further 5,000 residing in the rural district. About the organisation

The Allied Health centre is a multi-disciplinary Allied Health Service, established to support and promote healthy lifestyle choices for all people in our community.

Our current team consists of two physiotherapist's, occupational therapists, speech pathologist, dietitian, audiologist, psychologist and diabetes educator. We also offer rehabilitation classes, balance classes, hydrotherapy consultations and wellness services, including yoga and Pilates classes. Our team also offer group sessions under the My Health for Life Program. We pride ourselves on continuing to offer our local community the highest quality allied health service.

The Allied Health centre is well positioned within the existing healthcare community to support your professional practice.

We are seeking interest from a physiotherapist, looking to start or expand their career and experience life working as a healthcare professional in our community.

Currently our physiotherapists provide individual consultations, group therapy sessions and conduct Pilates classes. They also deliver consultations at our local pool. We see a variety of clients from adults to children, including private, DVA, Medicare funded and NDIS funded. Every day is different!

As a local business, we are proud to support our local sporting teams. You will be involved in every aspect of this service, from attending training to game-day support. This provides a wonderful opportunity for you to develop your sports physiotherapy skills and opens up a network of community connections.

We are looking for a physiotherapist who is:

  • Willing to learn and expand your skills, across a variety of client groups. We are looking for someone with an interest in an extremely diverse caseload
  • Has an interest in conducting group physiotherapy sessions and Pilates classes
  • Would be open to opportunities within our community, including providing service to local sporting teams

Our current team of providers are all experienced within their field and are committed to providing any new-graduate team member the support and direction they require to equip them with the skills to provide outstanding service.

The Allied Health centre is situated in the Myall Health Precinct, alongside the largest GP clinic in our community. You will get to know everyone in the healthcare community by name and have the opportunity to have your voice heard on local health issues.

Opportunity for the Physiotherapist to be involved in the running of pilates classes, both within practice hours and also early morning or evening classes.

If you are passionate about sports physiotherapy, you will have an opportunity to become involved in service support for the local Rugby Union Team. The Allied Health centre is a proud sponsor of the Dalby Wheatmen and we provide a physiotherapy service to support the players in pre-season preparation and also injury management throughout the season with an on-site service on training nights and also on game days.
