Role Overview
An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced People & Culture Manager. This role will be offered on a permanent full time basis, the initial location will be at our Guildford head office, with a view to relocate closer to the Perth CBD in early 2020.
The Manager People and Culture is responsible for Provide operational leadership to the People & Culture team and to promote the People & Culture team as a key business partner that provides a proactive advisory service across the organisation to ensure compliance and good defensible decision-making. The incumbent will work collaboratively with Managers, Senior Managers / Executive and the Chief Executive Officer to support the strategic objectives determined by the Chief Executive Officer and the Board.
This position supports and promotes the culture and values of 360 Health + Community evidenced through personal commitment, behaviour, language and the achievement of results; and works proactively and collaboratively across the organisation to create a flexible, mobile and agile workforce where ‘everyone belongs’. A key part of this role is coaching and developing others to improve their leadership and staff engagement capability, ensuring modern people management tools and contemporary processes are in place.
Example of Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all 360 People & Culture activities and IR requirements to ensure organisational and legislative requirements are met
- Contribute to the development and implementation of plans, systems, processes, procedures and policies, which ensure sound business management and achievement of strategic and operational objectives for the business unit in line with the Chief Executive Officer’s direction and key objectives.
- Develop, implement and evaluate all People & Culture systems, policies and procedures, ensuring that policies and procedures meet best practice standards
- Collaborate with the Executive team and support the Board of Directors in the implementation of workplace culture initiatives
Essential Minimum Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years previous experience working in a human resources environment
- Significant experience in the Industrial Relations field
- Demonstrated understanding of human resource principles, and ability to translate HR policies into practice;
- Minimum 3 years previous management experience
- Strong organisational skills including the ability to manage workloads and achieve outcomes in a busy environment
- Ability to work independently and exercise initiative and discretion
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills with a strong team orientation and customer focus
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills in order to develop strategies, ideas and opportunities for resolving issues
- Demonstrated flexible and collaborative interpersonal style, that reflects the values of the organisation
- Proficiency with/literacy of information and communication technology including desktop, word processing, software packages and spread sheets
- A strategic thinker with a focus on organisational goals
- Ability to work effectively independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
