The National Manager of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Practice and Engagement will provide advice and guidance to headspace National and the headspace network workforce in the planning, development and implementation of policies, strategies, programs and services to support successful participation by and engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement and initially with two direct reports, the National Manager's primary role and function will be:
"To advocate for the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and communities within the headspace context; and strengthen the cultural capacity of the headspace network by providing expert advice and through the implementation of culturally informed initiatives that aim to improve the delivery of headspace services and programs to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people."
We're seeking proven senior management experience in strategic and operational leadership, planning and delivery of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander policy, programs or services. Ideally you have degree level qualifications in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, or Mental Health, Human Services, Human Resources, Social Science or a related discipline. If you're a people person motivated by continuing to build relationships and strategic partnerships internally across the headspace network and externally with government, non-government and community partners, we would love to hear from you.
As an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, your cultural and social awareness will be central to this role.

headspace National is based in the Melbourne CBD, however, this position may be based anywhere in Australia. However, regular travel to our head office in Melbourne and regular interstate travel is required.
