An exciting role exists for an energetic Education Professional to support schools through the implementation of the Be You Initiative. headspace, as the implementation partner, will work with Beyond Blue to deliver an interactive framework of evidenced-based information, professional advice and support to primary and secondary schools. The Be You Initiative through continuous professional development of educators will promote optimal social and emotional health and wellness in schools.
The Be You Consultant (Education) will demonstrate the Be You Initiative to prospective and participating schools to assist them to implement tailored processes and develop their staff through ongoing professional development. You will support school communities through promoting mental health promotion, prevention and early intervention with the goal of improving outcomes for young people and their families. Drawing on your considerable knowledge and experience in stakeholder management and working with schools, you will be the key contact for schools in their assigned region in order to build and maintain strong relationships.
headspace is seeking an engaging individual with significant experience in influencing change and working in collaborative partnerships with school leadership teams and/or education authorities. Applications demonstrating experience with the implementation of mental health and wellbeing initiatives and with an applied understanding of youth mental health issues including suicide postvention, suicide and the impact of trauma on school communities will be highly valued. This position calls for the ability to engage, liaise and interact with a broad range of stakeholders across the national health and education sectors.
This role requires intra-state and inter-state travel. In return, we offer a generous car allowance, as well as a flexible and dynamic work environment where you have the opportunity to truly make a difference to young Australians.
The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000, with salary commensurate with skills and experience, plus generous salary packaging opportunities up to the maximum amount.
This role is maternity leave replacement offered until 31 January 2021.
