This established not for profit aged care and community service provider operate across the Northern Territory which includes multiple residential care facilities as well as community care programs.

They are currently seeking an Assistant Residential Service Manager to be based in Alice Springs on a permanent basis.

Your new role:

Reporting into the Integrated Service Manager your role will be to assist in managing the Residential Facility’s human, financial and material resources as well as to foster a healthy and safe workplace for all staff and volunteers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide a high level of management and leadership to the Residential Service consistent with the funding program requirements
  • Ensure resident care is assessed, planned and implemented and evaluated in accordance with the’ model of care and funding model taking into consideration each resident’s physical, social, emotional, spiritual and clinical needs and encouraging resident / resident representative participation
  • Effectively plan, coordinate, administer, evaluate and report on the service to ensure it meets identified resident needs and standards of quality care
  • Report on and address the results of accreditation/service reviews
  • Monitor that the service is delivered and funding is appropriately allocated in accordance with any contractual agreements and guidelines set by the relevant Government Departments
  • Ensure all funding body requirements (submissions, plans, returns, reports, statistics) are completed and submitted within required timeframes

What you'll need to succeed:

As the successful candidate you will:

  • Be an AHPRA Registered Nurse
  • Extensive experience in residential care services
  • Demonstrated understanding and sound knowledge of resident centred, residential based care services delivery
  • Experience working within and leading a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated advanced level of leadership, management, customer service and problem solving highly advantageous
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including intermediate computer skills
