GUIA is currently seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers (ABN required) to join our growing team across Western Sydney for casual and back-up shifts.
We support participants with a range of physical, psychosocial, intellectual, and complex support needs, with a strong focus on person-centred care, genuine connection, and empowering participants to live meaningful and independent lives.
About the Role
Shifts may include:
- Community access and social support
- Personal care and assistance with daily living
- Domestic assistance
- Transport to appointments and activities
- Manual handling and higher-needs support (where required)
- Evening, weekend, and occasional active night shifts
This role would suit someone who is adaptable, emotionally intelligent, and passionate about making a genuine difference in people’s lives.
About You
We’re looking for support workers who are:
- Easy-going, empathetic, and flexible
- Reliable and professional
- Strong communicators with a person-centred approach
- Able to build trust and maintain professional boundaries
- Comfortable working independently in community and home environments
- It would be a plus if you are multilingual - we are especially looking for staff that speak spanish and arabic!
Essential Requirements
- ABN and Insurances
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (where applicable)
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Modules
- Relevant disability support experience
Experience supporting participants with complex needs, manual handling, mental health, or behaviours of concern will be highly regarded.
