We are seeking candidates for a part-time position for our Perth office which covers the South West region from Bunbury to Margaret River. The program offers medium-term residential support to people recovering from mental illness who are transitioning back into the community.
Grow is a not-for-profit non-government organisation which was started in Sydney in 1957 by people who believed that, together, they could support each other to overcome the difficulties they experienced in their everyday life that was caused by mental illness and go on to live a life full of hope and aspiration. The Grow Residential Program builds on this mutual help approach. It is a therapeutic community that supports recovery from mental health conditions, with or without co-existing substance abuse.
The Program Worker role supports the mutual help groups and provide information to the wider community about Grow programs. This is a work from home position reporting to the Perth office and covers the South West region from Bunbury to Margaret River. Candidates must be based in or prepared to move to the region.
The successful applicant will need to identify with GROW’s philosophy, be self-motivated, flexible, energetic, team-spirited, and open to ongoing training.
Relevant qualifications and experience may include tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Youth Services, or Peer Support Group Work/Community Development, and Training, with a minimum of Certificate IV.
You will need to hold a current WA driver’s license and have current criminal history notice (within three months) or the ability to obtain one before the commencement of the position.
