GROW Australia is seeking an experienced and motivated Peer coach to support our Commonwealth Psychosocial Support (CPS) program across the Perth Metro region.

This role combines responsibilities with direct participant support, including managing a caseload within the CPS program. Areas of delivery will include parts of Country W.A and Perth North.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage a caseload of participants receiving CPS supports 
  • Deliver individual sessions providing recovery-oriented, strengths-based psychosocial support 
  • Work collaboratively with participants to develop and review recovery goals and support plans 
  • Support participants to build independence, social connection, daily living skills, and community participation 
  • Assist participants to connect with housing, health, employment, education, and other community services 
  • Co-facilitate groups, activities, and community-based recovery programs 
  • Build and maintain relationships with local services, stakeholders, and referral partners 
  • Participate in outreach activities and promote GROW programs within the community 
  • Support staff development, reflective practice, and team collaboration 
  • Maintain accurate case notes, participant records, data collection, and reporting requirements 
  • Ensure services are delivered in line with CPS guidelines, organisational policies, and quality standards 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in community mental health, psychosocial support, peer work, or related services 
  • Strong understanding of recovery-oriented and person-centred practice 
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills 
  • Confidence working with digital systems and Microsoft Office programs 
  • Qualification in Mental Health, Community Services, Peer Work, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 
  • Current Driver’s Licence 
  • National Police Check 
  • Working with Children Check 
  • Current First Aid Certificate 
  • Australian working rights 

Lived experience of mental health recovery is strongly encouraged and highly valued.

The Offer

  • Part-time position – 0.6 EFT (3 days per week) or 45.6 hours per fortnight
