Due to recent growth and expansion within Grand Pacific Health and a recent organisational review, we are seeking a compassionate and motivated Service Manager to provide exceptional service delivery in our psychological support services and day to day leadership of our dedicated team of professionals.

Grand Pacific Health has a new service: GPH Mental Health Direct. The service aims to provide professional and effective psychological support to individuals in need of mental health assistance. The service offers fee-based, evidence based psychological services in specialty areas including:

  • General counselling for people over 16 years experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns
  • Perinatal and early childhood services, and
  • Psychological support assessments for children with autism

The service works collaboratively with other GPH programs and key stakeholders to ensure high quality outcomes for consumers, their families and carers.

This is a full-time, fixed term position (to 30 June 2023) and can be located at the following GPH hubs; Wollongong, Moruya, Bega, Queanbeyan, Goulburn or Nowra.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and leading a team of mental health clinicians
  • Manage budgetary requirements and report against deliverables
  • Manage employment lifecycle of employees including, recruitment, onboarding, performance planning, development and review
  • Implement, monitor and manage continuous improvement systems and processes and ensure accreditation requirements are achieved
  • Contribute to the identification of the mental health needs of the local community relevant to the program; recommend and implement appropriate strategies to improve services and accessibility
  • Provide psychological therapies through maintenance of a clinical caseload to fill gaps within the service, manage demand or to boost service provision
  • Maintain quality in service delivery through implementation and adherence to best practice guidelines, the clinical governance framework and ongoing program development

We are looking for someone with:

  1. Qualifications as an allied mental health professional (e.g. clinical psychologist, psychologist, mental health social worker, or mental health occupational therapist) and current registration with the relevant credentialling body such as AHPRA, AASW.
  2. Previous experience in a program and or health services management role.
  3. Sound financial capability ideally including budget management a strong understanding of Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS).
  4. Demonstrated leadership experience of a multidisciplinary team including planning for and delivering on team objectives and deliverables, monitoring and developing team and individual performance.
