About the position

The Mental Health Intake Clinician will be responsible for undertaking region wide clinical intake assessment for GPH mental health services, improving referral pathways and managing demand for people with low to moderate mental health needs across a variety of programs.

The position involves a high level of engagement and collaboration with key stakeholders including consumers and their families and carers, GPH mental health employees, external Mental Health providers, General Practitioners, government and non-government organisations.

Based in our Wollongong hub, this is a part-time opportunity (22.5 hours per week), the hours and days are negotiable. The position is fixed term until 30 June 2023.

What you’ll need

• The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications in a clinical health related field and be registered with AHPRA or be a Mental Health Accredited Social Worker who is eligible for registration with the AASW
• High level written & verbal communication skills and IT proficiency are required
