About the Role

You will work as part of a collaborative and high-performing team, acting for union clients and their members across a broad range of industrial and employment law matters. The role involves advising and representing clients in complex disputes, including disciplinary processes, workplace investigations, dismissals and underpayment matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise and represent union clients and their members in employment and industrial disputes, including disciplinary matters, misconduct, dismissals and underpayments
  • Manage a diverse caseload
  • Appear in or instruct on conciliations, mediations, and court/tribunal proceedings
  • Draft legal documents, correspondence, and briefs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with union clients, members, and key stakeholders
  • Provide strategic, practical advice aligned with client objectives

Skills & Experience

  • 2 + years PAE in Industrial & Employment Law or a related area
  • Solid understanding of relevant legislation and case law
  • Experience working with unions or member-based organisations is highly regarded
  • Strong drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
