The tutor joining the Glen Park team will be able to demonstrate great communication and organisational skills, as well as being about to adapt to change and work within a small team and possess the ability to work with adults who have a range of disabilities.
This program is due to commence late January 2023.
Glen Park Community Centre are looking for someone to join our team who can demonstrate the following:
- Have experience/exposure and an understanding of ACFE Pre-Accredited level training (preferred, not essential)
- Certificate 4 in TAE is desirable
- Hold or willing to obtain both an employee Working with Children Check and National Name Check prior to the program commencing
- Have a background in teaching, facilitation, or other education background with a focus on adults with a range of Disabilities
- Work effectively in a small team achieving set milestones and outcomes to achieve individual outcomes
- Available Tuesday from 9.30am – 2pm
- Have experience in teaching/facilitating a range of communication skills learning and a basic understanding of life skills such as public transport, volunteering and basic budgeting
- High level of administration skills
- A working knowledge of MS Suite and Computers
POSITION OBJECTIVES
- Facilitating an adult education setting – it is important that the learning environment is set and suitable for adults to facilitate their learning
- Administration – overseeing and understanding the importance of completing required administration to satisfy funding in a timely and efficient manner
- Computer – basic computer skills where you can update session information, upload photo and video evidence and put together basic communication pieces such as Newsletters
- Achieving program outcomes and goals – working effectively with the team at Glen Park to set and achieve desired outcomes of the program as discussed prior to the program commencing
- Moderation – moderate, review and change the program in consultation with stakeholders and coordinator, in line with ACFE requirements
- Applicants should be able to work autonomously with some direction from the training co-ordinator.
