Are you ready to make a real difference in the community while gaining invaluable experience in event organisation, workshop facilitation and partnership-building? Join us and be part of a dynamic team shaping employment opportunities in the care sector!
At Generation Australia, we're dedicated to fostering employment opportunities, particularly in the healthcare sector, for individuals in Sydney's Greater West. We're excited to announce a new opportunity for an Event and Outreach Coordinator. Reporting to the Student Recruitment Manager, this role is pivotal in organising events, delivering sessions both in-person and online, and establishing partnerships with community organisations and Workforce Australia providers.
You are a motivated individual residing in Sydney's Greater West, who possesses a knack for event organisation and a passion for supporting others. While prior experience is beneficial, we welcome candidates with a flexible schedule and a willingness to learn (including university students). This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to cultivate relationships with community organisations and workforce providers, all within a nonprofit setting focused on benefiting the community.
Worldwide, more than 75 million young people are unemployed. But many employers can’t find people with the skills they need for entry-level jobs. Generation was created in 2014 to help bridge this gap—at speed and scale.
We’re building a skills-training methodology that can serve hundreds of thousands, and eventually millions, of people a year. And we’re building proof that this training creates real business outcomes for employers, and lasting career impact for trainees—so everyone has the incentive to invest in skills. Our goal is to help our students achieve personal and professional success—and fundamentally change their life trajectories. Generation programs prepare unemployed or underemployed people for jobs in four sectors: healthcare, technology, retail/sales, and skilled trades. Today, Generation is active in thirteen countries with over 85,000 graduates with diverse social, economic and labour-market contexts.
Generation Australia is committed to a more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace. We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply. We are interested in looking beyond the CV and understanding who you are and the skills you would bring to our organisation.
