Good Cycles is guided by an evidence-supported Theory of Change that maps pathways for helping young people grasp employment opportunities and build better futures. Through on-the-job learning, we improve job readiness, support networks, financial wellbeing, and resilience. The Programs Team provide guidance and services to enable support of Good Cycles’ mission through our business operations.

Purpose of the role

The Marketing Specialist is accountable for the delivery of both the social media content as well as the design, build and execution of digital marketing activities. Working across the spread of our operations they will deliver content for B2B, B2C, Government bodies and stakeholders both internal and external

Deliver all digital communications

  • Produce content to present and promote Good Cycles’ cause
  • Ensure all outgoing messaging, content and material is consistent and in-line with the Good Cycles brand, its values and core mission
  • Present Good Cycles’ cause, mission, and agenda clearly and in line with brand guidelines to customers and stakeholders
  • Promote Good Cycles’ cause and commercial operations
  • Identify opportunities to extend Good Cycles reach and profile within both the cycling industry and the area of social enterprise through digital channels

Online presence

  • Advise on the optimisation and development of the commercial aspects of Good Cycles online presence
  • Design, build and execute all on-line advertising during campaigns
  • Be familiar with back-end systems for database population, CRM and bookings etc
  • Manage and develop social media channels in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders

Marketing and campaigns

  • Develop a communications plan for new projects:
    • Develop stakeholder map
    • Identify messaging/stakeholder
    • Develop communications plan at the stakeholder level
    • Ensure comms material is developed and reviewed in a timely fashion
    • Produce collateral for use when meeting with potential funders
  • Design and produce digital marketing artifacts for both general and specific applications and promotion, in line with brand guidelines.
  • Work with retail staff to develop and promote commercial offerings and campaigns
  • Work with programs staff to promote programs to specific audiences and present outcomes and results to the general public.
  • Work with operations staff to promote current service contracts in line with overall business development objectives
  • Develop marketing collateral for use in B2B operations
  • Produce reports to determine the success of campaigns

Education and Experience

  • Communications/Marketing/Media degree or similar
  • Experience with, or qualification in, digital media and web technologies.

  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop, WordPress, and Google Apps/ads.
