Our pioneering biopsychosocial research acknowledges the physical, mental and social factors influencing illness. About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Fundraising Manager to lead and grow our direct and community fundraising programs. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will be responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of fundraising activities across multiple channels. You will leverage digital platforms, supporter insights, and best-practice fundraising techniques to cultivate strong relationships and maximise fundraising performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organisational goals
• growing revenue through direct, community, and digital fundraising campaigns
• managing supporter journeys and delivering exceptional donor care experiences.
• using data, analytics, and reporting to optimise campaign performance and supporter engagement
• creating compelling fundraising communications across a range of channels and audiences, in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Manager
• building strong relationships with supporters, partners, stakeholders, and internal teams
• monitoring budgets, forecasting revenue, and ensuring fundraising targets are achieved.

About You

You are a strategic thinker with a passion for building meaningful connections and achieving results. You bring strong fundraising expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities for growth.

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary qualification (Bachelor level) in Marketing, Fundraising, Communications, or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated success in strategic fundraising planning and implementation.
• Proven ability to design and execute fundraising strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.
• Strong digital fundraising expertise, including social media, email marketing, online giving platforms, and supporter engagement tools.
• Consistent track record of achieving or exceeding fundraising revenue targets.
• Sound financial management and budgeting skills.
• Experience providing exceptional supporter care and understanding the donor journey.
• Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills across diverse communication formats.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and work effectively across teams.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High level of initiative, self-motivation, and problem-solving capability.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable

• Experience within a not-for-profit, research, health, or related purpose-driven organisation.
