Join us as our Lead, Business Solutions! As the Lead (Business Solutions) works closely with the Senior Director (Business Development) to develop opportunities and partnerships that grow FW’s revenue. They build strong relationships with other organisations, including corporate partners, to drive FW's revenue. They liaise with clients and partners to understand their needs, develop tailored proposals, and deliver end-to-end projects.
This is a part-time (0.8 FTE) or full time role, 2 year contract with the opportunity to extend. This role is virtual-first, with hybrid working arrangements in Sydney and Melbourne.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Revenue growth. Support client outreach, meetings, and proposal development and drive the conversion of leads into revenue-generating relationships. Develop and convert partnership proposals and secure brand sponsorship, in coordination with other members of the broader Business Development team.
- Business development. Identify new opportunities to partner with corporate and government partners, including through:
- Expanding and growing FW’s flagship program, Jobs Academy, through new commercial partnerships
- Creating and pitching branded content proposals aligned with Jobs Academy
- Developing and commercialising FW’s advisory services.
- Project delivery. Oversee the end-to-end delivery of relevant client projects to a high standard, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring intended outcomes to support recurring long-term partnerships.

Selection criteria
Essential:
- Experience developing and writing winning proposals, pitches or tenders, and managing them through to close.
- Strong stakeholder, negotiation and relationship-management skills, with credibility to engage senior clients, corporate partners and government.
- Experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial sales, with a demonstrable record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritise across competing demands, and translate ideas into deliverable plans and commercial outcomes.
- A commitment to FW’s mission of advancing women’s economic equality.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of government tenders, grants and panels, ideally within employment services, skills or workforce participation.
- Experience with brand, event or sponsorship partnerships and the commercialisation of advisory or professional development products.
- Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
