The Role

We are seeking a creative, strategic and hands-on Marketing and Communications Manager to lead the national marketing and communications function for Friends with Dignity.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is responsible for developing and delivering marketing, communications and digital strategies that build brand awareness, engage supporters, strengthen stakeholder relationships and support fundraising outcomes.

This is a unique opportunity for a passionate marketing professional who wants to use their skills to make a genuine difference in the lives of people affected by domestic violence. A hybrid role - you will mostly work from home, with the expectation to travel to the FwD Warehouse in Meadowbrook once per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver marketing, communications and digital strategies that increase brand awareness, community engagement and fundraising outcomes.
  • Manage Friends with Dignity's digital presence, including social media, website, email marketing, online fundraising campaigns and paid advertising.
  • Create engaging content across multiple channels, including video, photography, graphic design, newsletters, website content and stakeholder communications.
  • Lead public relations and media activities, including media releases, media engagement and organisational storytelling.
  • Plan, market and coordinate fundraising and awareness events, working closely with volunteers, sponsors and community partners.
  • Manage ambassador and influencer relationships and support corporate partner activations and campaigns.
  • Monitor campaign performance, track key metrics and prepare reports, impact summaries and recommendations for leadership.
  • Collaborate across the organisation to ensure consistent messaging, promote programs and support volunteer engagement initiatives.

You are a confident and creative marketing professional with a passion for purpose-driven work. You bring strong communication and relationship-building skills, a talent for engaging audiences through compelling content, and the ability to manage multiple projects with professionalism and attention to detail.

Skills and Experience We're Looking For

  • Experience in marketing, communications or digital marketing.
  • Strong content creation, social media and copywriting skills.
  • Experience with website management, email marketing and digital campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector is desirable.
