Board Position (Voluntary)

Freemasons Foundation Victoria

We are inviting expressions of interest from people with experience in the philanthropy and/or community NFP sector, who are not Freemasons, to join our Board.

Under new leadership in 2025, and a renewed strategic focus, it is an ideal opportunity to serve on the Board in the next phase of this highly respected organisation that is renowned for benevolence and charity.

It is a separate entity from Freemasons Victoria, which is an associated organisation.

FFV strives to be a leader in philanthropy, seeking projects that can have an enduring difference and that align with Masonic values. Since 2014 we have distributed over $24.5 million dollars to organisations across Victoria, however the origin of the Foundation dates back to 1889.

FFV’s principal purpose is to undertake a variety of philanthropic activities in Victoria with the aim to contribute to stronger and healthy Victorian communities through thoughtful and purposeful charitable donations. FFV also supports individuals through access to education.

The main areas of our granting activities are:

  • Creating better lives for Victorian men and boys, and stronger communities because of them
  • Partnering with over 200 Lodges to support their charitable activities aimed at addressing local and place-based community needs
  • Providing education support to young people through scholarships and awards

Board meetings are held (6) six times a year. In addition, Board members may be requested to be available to attend functions, strategic planning meetings, site visits and represent FFV at charitable events.
