About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a 12 month Full time or 0.8 FTE Fixed-term Nurse Educator – Reproductive and Sexual Health (Grade 4.1) to join Sexual Health Victoria’s Education Services team.
Reporting to the Clinical Education Manager, this role supports evidence based reproductive and sexual health (RSH) nursing practice, education delivery, supervision, and continuous quality improvement, in line with NMBA standards and the SHV & ANMF (Vic) Enterprise Agreement.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Provides role modelling of advanced clinical educational practices
- Develops, delivers and evaluates education courses and training
- Provides mentorship to clinical nursing staff and is involved in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing education and staff development programs.
- Deliver evidence‑based RSH nursing services within scope of practice
- Provide respectful, non judgemental, values based client care
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide supervision to enrolled nurses where appropriate
- Participate in quality improvement, research informed practice, and risk management
- Maintain professional competence and compliance with mandatory training
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Current Registered Nurse (Division 1) registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated at least 3 years' experience in an advanced clinical nursing role in reproductive and sexual health
- Experience in delivering education or mentorship to nurses
- Demonstrated skills in cervical screening provision
- Strong clinical judgement and decision‑making skills
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Excellent organisational and time management capabilities
- Commitment to reflective practice and continuous quality improvement
- Experience or willingness to develop skills in contraceptive implant procedures and to contribute to contraception implant training
Mandatory Requirements
- Current CPR certification
- Valid Police Check
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Evidence of current AHPRA registration
