Westjustice provides legal advice and education on a broad range of issues including employment, discrimination, consumer disputes, tenancy, credit and debt, family disputes, family violence, criminal law and more. WEstjustice also undertakes law reform activities and advocacy and works in partnership with local communities to deliver projects that improve access to justice.

The Role

This is a new role for Westjustice, for a new Data and Impact Program Manager who will oversee an organisation wide data transition, create a monitoring and evaluation framework and oversee its implementation, and aid in the creation of streamlined reporting.

This role will be part of the Policy and Innovation team, reporting to the Director for Policy and Innovation. As a Program Manager, this role will also form part of the Westjustice Management Team and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and the CEO.

This role will be based in Sunshine but will be required to work at our other offices and/or locations, as need arises.

Skills Required

  • Demonstrated experience as a subject matter expert on monitoring and evaluation, including in the creation and/or implementation of M&E frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management of data transitions or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and creating meaningful reports that demonstrate impact.

You will also have:

  • The ability to lead the development and implementation of an organisation-wide data transition and the creation of the M&E framework.
  • The ability to systemise Westjustice’s approach to data collection, including in the backend of Actionstep.
  • Experience in training organisations on quality data collection and on using new platforms and frameworks, including Actionstep and on the M&E framework.
  • Experience in monitoring the implementation of the new platforms and the ability to work with limited direction to solve issues early.
  • A strong understanding of effective use of data and creating innovative reports that use our data to demonstrate impact with maximum impact.
  • A strong understanding of early intervention, its value, and how to harness data to show its effectiveness in our work.
  • Be people and detail oriented, creating a new culture of data and M&E for the organisation and making sure all teams are brought along in the transition.
  • The ability to work with the Senior Leadership team to understand strategic direction of the team, provide updates on key projects, and escalate for resolution if needed.
  • A strong commitment to social justice and Capacity to work within a rights-based framework.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and administrative skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Westjustice’s Vision, Purpose, Strategic Plan and Impact Areas.

Remuneration

Salary range $114,235 pro rata - $119,000 pro rata (commensurate with experience) plus superannuation, 17.5% leave loading and additional generous salary packaging of up to $15,900 for general living expenses, access to Accommodation and Meal Entertainment packaging and employer funded superannuation in accordance with Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992 (Cth).
