About the role

FIAAI is seeking a Health Manager (Registered Nurse) to lead and strengthen our aged care and community support services. This is a key leadership role that brings together clinical oversight, staC support and service coordination to ensure safe, consistent and culturally grounded care for our community.

The role is suited to a Registered Nurse who is confident working across people, systems and service delivery, and who can provide practical clinical leadership in a small, community-based environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight of aged care and support services
  • Support staC to deliver safe, consistent and culturally appropriate care
  • Identify, assess and respond to clinical risks and client needs
  • Oversee incident management, risk processes and continuous quality improvement (CQI)
  • Support clinical decision-making and escalation pathways
  • Work closely with staC to identify issues early and support practical solutions
  • Coordinate with external health providers including GPs, hospitals and allied health
  • Contribute to workforce planning, role clarity and staC support
  • Maintain clear communication across the team and with leadership

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Has experience in aged care, primary health or community-based services
  • Is confident providing clinical oversight and supporting non-clinical staC
  • Can identify clinical risk and respond appropriately
  • Understands or is committed to working in a culturally safe and respectful way
  • Is practical, calm and solutions-focused
  • Communicates clearly and works well in a small team environment

Experience in Aboriginal health or working with Aboriginal communities is highly regarded.
