About the role

You will drive the University Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples' Workforce Strategy, Policy and Procedure through the development, implementation and management of employment programs aimed at recruiting and retaining academic, TAFE and professional staff.

You will:

  • provide support and advice in the design and development of the Workforce Strategy, Policy and Procedure;
  • develop, maintain and enhance internal and external partnerships;
  • work collaboratively to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees are retained; and
  • support the research, design, development, and review of initiatives to assist the University community to continue to develop a culture of mutual respect and understanding.

About you

To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated:

  • understanding and experience of contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples';
  • ability to develop strong partnerships with a range of stakeholders
  • experience and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment programs; and
  • ability to research, analyse information and produce high quality written reports, prepare grant applications and briefings to management.
