Impact & Evaluation Coordinator

Federation of Community Legal Centres Victoria
  • Opportunity to join a leading peak body representing Victoria’s community legal centres to advance social justice
  • Deliver a program of work to support measurement of individual and collective impact, and improve services and outcomes for the community
  • Engage and collaborate with our active membership to build evaluation capacity

Collaborating with our member community legal centres (CLCs) who specialise in legal matters relating to women, youth, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, family violence and issues facing regional communities, you will be partnering to create practices and frameworks that will shape the way in which CLCs drive change for many years to come.

With a passion for social justice, you will support the Federation and our members to evaluate both the immediate impacts they achieve through service delivery, and assess how those impacts contribute to sustainable systems-level social change.

With a strong background in evaluation and outcomes measurement you are equally comfortable analysing and discussing data to support program development, as you are with designing and facilitating training and resources to build evaluation capacity.

About Us

The Federation is the peak body for Victoria’s Community Legal Centres (CLCs). Our members are at the forefront of helping those facing economic, cultural or social disadvantage and whose life circumstances are severely affected by their legal problem.

For over 40 years CLCs have been the heart of a powerful movement for social change, reshaping how people access justice, creating stronger more equitable laws, and more accountable government and democracy.

As their peak body, we work with and support CLCs to fight for a fairer, more just community.

About the role

Over the last three years, the Federation has worked collaboratively with CLCs to enhance outcomes through improved evaluation and outcomes measurement. The development of a sector-wide Outcomes Measurement Framework reflects the shared outcomes and diversity of the sector, and comprehensively articulates how CLCs can better demonstrate individual and collective impact and improve services for the community.

As the Federation goes through a period of positive growth, a key focus continues to be on improving the quality and impact of community legal services and increasing access to justice for the Victorian community. The refreshed role of Impact & Evaluation Coordinator will build on the achievements of the past three years, working across the sector to drive continuous improvement and ongoing development, supporting implementation of the Outcomes Measurement Framework, and building evaluation and impact capacity.

About you

You will apply your strong project skills and sound knowledge and experience in monitoring, evaluation and outcomes measurement to develop and implement sector-wide plans - to strengthen impact and evaluation capacity, and to support the application of the Outcomes Measurement Framework.

You will use your significant stakeholder engagement capability to consult and collaborate with stakeholders, to provide advice and guidance in the integration of evaluation practice, and to facilitate coaching and training to build capacity across the sector.

You will utilise your excellent communication abilities to convert analytical findings into meaningful advice, and complex data into clear information.

You will foster a culture of evaluation and impact assessment that is used to inform and improve design and delivery of services, support the Federation’s strategic direction and communicate CLCs value to community and our stakeholders.

Rewards and Benefits

The salary offered is $90,000 - $94,000 per annum (pro-rata if part-time), plus annual leave loading and superannuation. The Federation offers a generous FBT salary packaging program (up to $18,550 pa of your salary tax free).

Additional benefits include:

  • Flexible working arrangements, the role is offered as a fulltime or part-time (0.8 FTE);
  • Learning and development opportunities; and
  • An everyday working environment that is friendly, collaborative and positive.
