Farrell Rose Migration Lawyers

About Us

Farrell Rose Migration Lawyers is a new and dynamic full service immigration law firm led by Catherine Farrell and Bethany Rose. We bring over 20 years of combined experience in migration law practice both in Australia and internationally.

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic, committed and passionate migration lawyer and advocate with 4-6 years post-admission experience to join our growing team in our Melbourne office. Part-Time and Sydney based applicants will also be considered.

The work will include preparing and lodging primary applications to the Department of Home Affairs and merits review applications before the Administrative Review Tribunal across all visa subclasses including skilled, family and refugee subclasses. The role will also include judicial review applications in the Federal Circuit and Family Court and the Federal Court of Australia, running complex character cancellation and refusal matters, citizenship applications and providing assistance to the firm’s pro bono practice.

The position will include considerable client contact and the successful candidate will be required to work autonomously but within a supportive team under the supervision of the partners. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong written and oral advocacy skills, a compassionate and client-centric approach, the ability to effectively manage a busy file load while maintaining high quality work and a professional approach to clients and colleagues.

The position requires onsite work in our Melbourne office and occasional attendance at the Tribunal and Courts, but we offer a flexible, hybrid working model. This is a full-time position, and the salary will be commensurate with experience.
