Our Organisation

Family Safety Victoria is the first government agency dedicated to ending family violence. It will deliver key initiatives to help protect, support and identify risk for those impacted by family violence and hold perpetrators to account. We will also coordinate access to services that support vulnerable children and families.

About the role

The Senior Policy Officer in the Centre for Workforce Excellence will support the development of Aboriginal workforce development initiatives alongside the Aboriginal Strategy and service design unit to ensure they align and reinforce principles of self-determination, and appropriately represent the views and interests of Aboriginal stakeholders. The position will need to:

  • Provide authoritative advice, maintain strong, collaborative relationships across government and with the family violence and broader social services sector, develop creative, evidence-based solutions and embed a diversity and intersectionality lens across all activities
  • Develop and manage project plans, grants, procurement activities and service agreements/contracts
  • Prepare reports, briefings and responses to information requests
