  • Hours: 76 hours per fortnight (10 days per fortnight)
  • Location: Applicants outside the Brisbane area can apply,  however the suitable applicant will be required to attend the Brisbane office at least once per week and as required.
  • This position is a contract through to 30 June 2025 with possible extension. 

True is looking for a Manager - Education to lead a diverse team of professionals who deliver  education programs and services, community projects and evidence-based research within community health and education.

True offers clinical services, education, information and a sexual assault service across Queensland from its offices located in Brisbane, Cairns, Rockhampton, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Toowoomba and the Gold Coast.

True’s Education team are custodians of our sexual and reproductive health All-Schools program, Disability Support, Consent & Child Protection, Multicultural Health, Clinical Education and Relationship Ready programs.

Selection criteria:

  • 5 + years’ experience in management / leadership across health or education sectors within community-based services.
  • Experience/knowledge in education framework and pedagogy (highly desirable).
  • Knowledge and or experience or willingness to obtain training in the child protection sector.
  • Experience in budgeting.
  • Experience in service development and coordination (including supervision and development of staff).
  • Experience in collaboration with stakeholders. 
  • Awareness of key issues in supporting an effective and safe working environment, including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour
  • Effective and confident user of ICT devices and platforms including Microsoft Office suite, Office 365, Learning management systems and on-line communication platforms and databases. 
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams, consult, negotiate, problem-solve, and resolve conflict.

Other requirements (required before commencing in role) 

  • Successful applicants are required to provide evidence of having completed full COVID-19 vaccination 
  • Hold a current  Blue Card - 'Working with Children Check' issued in the State of Queensland
