The Role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to work full time at our Point Clare office on the Central Coast.

The primary purpose of the role is to manage and maintain Accounts payable/receivable and the payroll process to ensure accuracy and compliance requirements are met, and provide assistance/support to the production of monthly management reporting and the annual budgeting process. You will be responsible for reconciliations, BAS, Superannuation, processing petty cash, and posting general journals.

The role directly reports to the Finance Manager who you will assist with balance sheet compilation and various reports. You will have the ability to ensure timely compliant processing of your responsibilities and make appropriate decisions in relation to the dimensions of the role. This is a role that requires a new approach and ideally we’d like you to identify areas for potential process streamlining. We are looking for someone who can work independently and is a genuine team player.

Essential Competencies

  • Proactive in streamlining processes to achieve efficiency;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Analytical approach and highly organised with great time management skills;
  • Timely preparation and submission of compliance obligations, including, BAS, PAYG, STP;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and formulas;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • General journal posting

Microsoft Dynamics Navigation (NAV) experience is highly regarded
