About the Role

The Partnerships Manager plays a key role in supporting the CEO and contributing to the growth of our mid- to high-level giving program. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with donors, trusts, and foundations, while delivering high-quality stewardship, proposal development, and impact reporting. You will also support engagement with our Ethiopian partner organisations.

The position offers an excellent opportunity to further develop fundraising expertise and gain exposure across multiple aspects of philanthropy and international development.

Interstate and international travel is required.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with the CEO to manage and grow a portfolio of mid to high-value donors, including individuals and foundations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships through tailored communications, including meetings, calls, and impact reporting
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Board to identify and create new engagement opportunities
  • Research and identify new funding opportunities
  • Prepare funding proposals in collaboration with the CEO and Ethiopian partners
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of donor and prospect events
  • Maintain accurate records of donor activity in the CRM system (Clarety)
  • Monitor fundraising performance against targets
  • Support oversight and coordination of partner projects, including:
    • Drafting and managing project agreements
    • Scheduling grant payments
    • Supporting annual monitoring and evaluation processes
    • Managing partner reporting schedules
  • On occasions, provide general administrative support, including phone enquiries and donation processing.

About You

We are seeking a motivated, proactive professional who is passionate about making a meaningful impact. You are a strong relationship builder with a genuine interest in philanthropy.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone and in person
  • Experience in fundraising, grants, or relationship management (or transferable skills)
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, CRM systems, and digital tools
  • A genuine passion for philanthropy and social impact
  • Willingness to travel interstate and internationally (including Ethiopia)
