Who we are

Mission: Reduce the impact of epilepsy on people’s lives.

Vision: Ensure that people with epilepsy have equitable access to education and employment, feel safe and connected in their community and no longer die from their epilepsy.

The role

The Epilepsy Foundation (EF) works with researchers and medical specialists to ensure that the support we provide is current, grounded in evidence and impactful.  EF administers the Australian Epilepsy Research Fund (AERF), which aims to fund innovative research that works to further our understanding of the impact of epilepsy on people’s lives and one day find a cure for epilepsy.

The primary focus of this position is to assist in research administrative duties. This includes assisting with the maintenance and administration of the Australian Epilepsy Research Register (AERR) and AERF. This will also involve assisting with publications and research output arising from the AERR. In addition, the Research Assistant (RA) assists in maintaining EF’s research collaborations and relationships with service delivery partners; and works closely with the Client Services and Education & Training teams to ensure that the services and information provided by EF are evidence-based and up-to-date.
