ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced, innovative and dynamic Disability Support Practice Leader to provide clinical leadership that ensures the successful delivery of exceptional person-centred practice that provides the best outcomes for our participants. 

Based in Mawson Lakes, this role also comes with a fully maintained vehicle as there will be regular need to be out of the office and visiting participants, manager's and support workers at our various locations across Adelaide. 

This is a Senior level Position that will be responsible for driving improvements in practice quality by leading, monitoring and evaluating the implementation and embedment of person-centred practice principles through Ellie B's Clinical Governance Framework.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct supervision, on-the-job coaching and mentoring to Disability Support Workers and Managers that assist skill and practice development.
  • Ensure all areas of individual Support Planning is cohesive, coordinated and aligns with individuals needs and goals.
  • Liaise with a range of key stakeholders including participants and their families, Support Coordinators, allied-health professionals and behaviour support practitioners to ensure a collaborative approach to service delivery and support planning.
  • Provide clear and concise reporting that reflects accurate data and ensures Ellie B's meets all its compliance related requirements. 

ABOUT YOU

You will share a passion for our vision and our values and genuinely care about the work you do and committed to implementing and driving best practice.

You will have experience working with people with disabilities, and the ability to relate to people from all walks of life.

You will have in-depth knowledge of NDIS, person-centred Practice, Active Support Principles and a sound understanding of reporting and compliance requirements including the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission framework.

Other skills, qualifications and experience you will have include:

  • Leadership: ability to provide clinical type supervision and provide feedback based on knowledge of best practice standards
  • Communication: High level interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Time Management and Personal Organisation: you will be able to manage and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Adaptable, flexible and able to respond effectively to changes in systems that impact on our day-to-day work. 
  • Tertiary qualification in human services or social sciences
  • Legal eligibility to work in Australia
  • A current NDIS worker's check
  • A current working with children's check 
  • A current Australian driver's License
