Remote / Work from Home
This is a work-from-home position; however, applicants must be based within Victoria as the role requires in-person attendance at meetings and training sessions.
We acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands on which we work and recognise that it always has been and always will be Aboriginal land. We pay our respects to all Elders, past and present.
ERA is a trusted, community-focused organisation supporting older people, their families and representatives across Victoria. We provide free, confidential and independent advocacy and services that help people navigate the aged care system.
As a founding member of the national Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN), we proudly deliver the National Aged Care Advocacy Program (NACAP) and the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), which strengthens social connection for older people experiencing isolation.
We are deeply committed to ensuring that the voices of older people – including Aboriginal communities, people from culturally linguistically diverse backgrounds, LGBTIQ+ communities and people with disability – are heard, respected, and empowered.
ERA operates as a fully remote organisation, with our team working from home and supported with OHS compliant setups. We come together in person in Melbourne CBD approximately every six-eight weeks. This flexible work model, developed in response to staff preferences post COVID, supports accessibility, inclusion and work-life balance, while enabling us to deliver high-quality services across Victoria.
Our work is grounded in the core values of Respect, Empowerment, Integrity, Inclusiveness, and Excellence. These values guide how we work with older people, our partners and each other.
We are seeking a values-driven and experienced leader to join our team as Team Leader – ACVVS.
In this role, you will lead the delivery of ERA’s ACVVS program, supporting a multi-region team and ensuring older people are connected with volunteers who provide friendship, companionship and social connection.
You will provide day-to-day guidance to the team, oversee volunteer engagement, and ensure the program is delivered consistently, safely and in line with funding and reporting requirements.
This is a work-from-home leadership role with responsibility across multiple regions. Travel may be required to support service delivery, stakeholder engagement, and team connection.
You’ll play a central role in:
