Remote / Work from Home
At EdConnect Australia we connect volunteers with young people in schools who need additional support, inspiring the older generations to inspire the next. Our team at EdConnect has been training and connecting volunteers with local schools across Australia for 30 years.
EdConnect learning support volunteers provide an extra set of adult eyes, ears and hands in the classroom to help support conditions of learning whilst our mentors provide both a safety net and a springboard for young people who might otherwise struggle to realise their potential in school and life.
Our services are designed to improve student’s literacy, life skills, self-esteem and self-confidence which contribute to improving learning outcomes and improved student achievements. This is coupled with improvements to volunteer health and wellbeing benefits.
To be successful in this role you are a team player who loves a challenge and working in a community setting. You are a confident and self-driven individual who requires little supervision, is innovative, creative and a proven problem solver. You see opportunities, enjoy meeting with people and helping them access our programs and are passionate about making a positive difference for young people.
This is a permanent part time role (0.52FTE) and hours of work will be spread over three or four days with Tuesday and Thursday being anchor days.
Please note - whilst this is a work from home role, the incumbent is required to reside in Geelong and will be required to nominate set days and times of work, which enables the EdConnect team to provide support to fellow colleagues and creates a strong culture and connected team.
