Eat Up is a not for profit organisation whose mission is to provide free lunch to some of the most vulnerable children in the community.
1 in every 8 primary school children (age 5 to 11) are going to school without food to fuel their growing bodies and brains
Missing out on lunch has a big impact, with hunger leading to fatigue and poor concentration. This contributes to learning difficulties and behavioral problems in school, with disadvantaged children falling further behind their peers.
Many of the children come from homes experiencing financial hardship, substance abuse, violence, homelessness or are refugees.
Eat Up’s mission is to provide lunch to some of the most vulnerable children in our community, to help children take advantage of learning opportunities, succeed in education and break the poverty cycle
We’re on the lookout for a talented team member based in Sydney (part time) to run sandwich making sessions (school, public and corporate) and deliver the lunches to schools in need. You will feel comfortable speaking to and motivating large groups of people, will be able to work autonomously (while being supported) and be passionate about our cause.
