About the role

The KickStart Group Facilitator will deliver a combination of structured therapeutic individual and group program specifically for men who are involved in the justice system where a link has been identified between offending behaviour and substance use. The group program is based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and it supports participants to reduce substance related offending whilst providing a holistic approach for behavioural change.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Qualifications in AOD studies
  • An ability to provide initiative and innovation, ability to work in a changing environment with flexibility and problem solving skills.
  • Diploma or degree level qualification in Alcohol and Drug studies
  • Experience in design and completion of quality projects, clinical audit activities and clinical research
  • At least three years’ experience and demonstrated skills in alcohol and other drug assessments, withdrawal management, case management and client referral
  • Experience in working with forensic clients in group and individual treatment settings
  • Proactive coordination of group and individual forensic program activities
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
