About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Operations and Programs Manager, this is a strategic and influential role that is responsible for driving growth and engagement. With ambitious plans to significantly grow membership, the position will proactively develop an innovative member acquisition, engagement and retention strategy.

Clearly defining and regularly analysing EAAAs value proposition, the position will lead membership activities and events and work collaboratively with colleagues to promote EAAA membership.

Creative and innovative in approach, with a passion for building membership and community engagement programs, the Membership and Community Engagement Coordinator will have a demonstrable track record of growth. Experience in a similar role with a membership-based organisation is essential along with knowledge of not-for-profit organisations. Awareness of the issue of elder abuse and EAAA’s community and membership is favourable. With strong business acumen, the ability to problem-solve and exceptional stakeholder management skills, the successful candidate will be excited about actively engaging with members, partners and colleagues. A minimum of two years experience in a similar role are essential.

This position is funded until June 30 2022, extension beyond this date contingent on funding.

Organisational Environment:

EAAA was established in 2018 and has a current staff of 3PT employees (1Ft and 2 PT). With no physical office location, all team members work from home.

Main duties/Responsibilities:

  • Administer the membership program including all membership enquiries, applications, renewals and member correspondence
  • Create and implement a membership strategy including identifying and recruiting new members
  • Deliver high quality member services, offering accurate advice and support
  • Produce relevant, accurate and timely program reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Nurture professional relationships, including collaboration with members and key stakeholders
  • Identify, research and recommend new service or products within operational and strategic plans
  • Ensure records within the membership database (IMIS) are updated and correct
  • Act as a brand advocate to drive membership growth and community engagement
  • Work collaboratively with the EAAA events coordinator to develop member-based activities

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in membership or similar role, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and conduct effective consultations with community groups and organisations
  • An ability to deliver agreed results, on time and within budget to meet identified program requirements

Skills:

  • Demonstrated relationship management, high level interpersonal and awareness skills.
  • Able to clearly communicate with a diverse range of people and be capable of creating clear and concise written communication
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in tracking and reporting within a CRM.
  • Strong project, organisational and administration skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver a member growth strategy and action plan
  • Program evaluation experience and a demonstrated ability to measure, assess and improve member engagement
  • A proven track record of positive engagement with internal and external stakeholders

Performance Goals:

  • Increase and diversify EAAA membership by 50% per year in the first year
