HR Business Partner Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of People, Engagement & Wellbeing and working collaboratively with various teams, you will act as the focal point for all people-related matters and offer strategic, advisory, and operational support that aligns with DVConnect's vision, purpose and values.

Key Responsibilities

With a collaborative and person-centric approach, you will utilise your extensive HR/IR knowledge and experience to:

  • Establish trusted and influential relationships with managers and employees at all levels and provide expert HR consultation and advice.
  • Model and demonstrate constructive working relationships and information exchange within the team and across the organisation.
  • Support executive team, management and employees in the interpretation and adherence to applicable industrial instruments, policies, procedures and processes, and best practice.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding and offboarding procedures, as well as guiding the probationary reviews, identifying continuous improvement opportunities and implementing retention strategies.
  • Manage the contracting processes such as employment agreements, individual flexibility agreements, employment variations, employee leave, remuneration and other related employment terms and conditions.
  • Provide relevant HR data and analytics to management to support and inform decision making.
  • Develop new and review existing people-related policies, procedures, practices and processes, ensuring alignment to legislative requirements and best practice.
  • Inspire and empower managers and employees through professional development pathways and enhancing leadership and management capabilities.

Remuneration & Benefits

  • $110k (pro rata for part-time) plus super.
  • Salary package up to $15,990 per financial year inc. meal and entertainment allowance.

Position Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualification in HR/IR or related business discipline.
  • 3+ years proven experience as a Senior HR Advisor/Generalist (not-for-profit organisation experience is high regarded).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine focus to build and maintain meaningful professional relationships.
  • Excellent influencing skills with the ability to drive change effectively.
  • Confident IT and administrative skills and management of HRIS systems.
  • Robust problem-solving abilities and proficient knowledge of HR functions.
  • Commitment to employee confidentiality and workplace diversity, inclusion and excellency.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to obtain National Police Check and First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Valid driver's license or ID.
  • Right to work in Australia.
