There is currently one (1) fixed term, 24 -month, full-time position available for immediate filling with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
In this position, within DPIRD’s dynamic and exciting, state-wide Aboriginal Economic Development team, you will work closely with Tjiwarl Aboriginal Corporation, the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission and across government to support the development and implementation of Tjiwarl economic initiatives. Days will be varied and engaging involving travel across the State with a focus on the Northern Goldfields region to engage with stakeholders and implement activities. Work will include creating and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with Aboriginal, government and industry organisations, developing and managing economic initiatives and coordinating the Department’s implementation of the Tjiwarl Palyakuwa Agreement.

You will have demonstrated knowledge and experience working closely with Aboriginal people and be experienced in project management, business development and economic development. You will have strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to provide strategic advice, deliver project reporting and prepare high level correspondence such as Board Reports and Ministerial Briefing Notes. Ideally, you will have knowledge of land management, mining and/or clean energy and relevant State and Federal economic development programs.
