Our Greens’ Electorate Officers work at the frontline of community and parliamentary engagement, helping to ensure the voices of Tasmanians are heard.

We support people to navigate government, respond to local issues, and contribute to informed, community-driven representation in Parliament.

About the role

We are seeking two Electorate Officers and are flexible to the working arrangement. This may be one full-time and one part-time (0.6 FTE) or two part-time (0.8 FTE), to support the delivery of responsive, high quality constituent services and the effective operation of the Member’s electorate office based in Sorell.

You will interact directly with constituents and stakeholders to manage enquiries and casework, coordinate the Member’s schedule, prepare correspondence and undertake research on local issues.

You are organised, discreet and adaptable, with a strong commitment to public service.

You will bring:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and sound judgement
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive matters
  • Understanding of Greens policies and values, and Tasmanian parliamentary processes, or ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge

Employment details

  • Crown Prerogative appointment
  • Salary from $75,125 (pro rata for part-time), dependent on experience
  • Based in Lyons, with occasional travel and some out-of-hours work
