About the role

We are looking for a D&I Project Manager to join us for a full-time position, starting asap. Location is preferably East Coast of Australia in hybrid working environment with access to a vibrant CBD co-working space in Sydney and Melbourne.

DCA along with our partners, have received government funding to work on a project to address the systemic barriers restricting Culturally and Racially Marginalised (CARM) women’s upward mobility into leadership roles in Australian organisations. This is an exciting opportunity for a best in class project manager to join the team working on this grant.

They will be making sure the project runs smoothly and that all elements come together effectively. As a subject matter expert, they will also be contributing to the day-to-day research activities.

About you

You have a passion for, or strong interest in diversity and inclusion and have extensive experience in managing D&I industry projects. You bring a strong sense of initiative, collaboration, and a continuous learning mindset.

  • Excellent project management skills including being able to manage research projects in a timely, inclusive and resource effective manner, to help ensure key deliverables are met by due dates and in budget.
  • Be able to manage relationships effectively with key stakeholders for the project including with DCA research partners and members of industry.
  • Experience in working with project management tools (in particular Asana or similar) and methodologies.
  • Subject matter expertise (including on the intersections of race and gender).
  • Experience in working on a government grant
  • Able to collect, analyse, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data and report on this in a way that will engage industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills & attention to detail
  • Preferably higher degree (Honours, Masters, PhD) or equivalent experience
  • Skills in writing and delivering presentations will be highly valued
