About Us:

Diversitat is a registered charity that has been serving the Geelong community for more than 40 years. Today we operate across various sites delivering a range of services including settlement, training & education, financial counselling, disability and aged support. We also operate Pulse radio and TV, the Oppe Shoppe and various events including the famous Pako Festa.

The Role:

The role is to plan and implement quality creative and stimulating activities based on individual and group interests for aged support clients at the Healthy Living Centre. You will contribute to the planning and delivery of creative activities for aged support clients, drive clients and complete and maintain client records.

There are 2 permanent full-time positions available.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Relevant experience as an activity worker in aged support or other community setting;
  • Experience assisting with aged and frail client’s personal care requirements
  • Ability to understand and work with various clients including cross cultural communication skills in particular, with people who are aged and frail;
  • Strong administration skills;
  • Current Victorian driver licence;
  • Also desirable is a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, Food Safety Handlers certificate, Current First Aid Certificate and an understand the guiding principles for medication management.
