ABOUT THE ROLE

The role is to support John, who has a physical disability and uses an electric wheelchair.

John lives with his wife & two cats in Glen Huntly, VIC, 3163. Living close to the Glen Huntly / Caulfield area is essential.

The role is to support John in his home to assist in things such as Pressure Care Management & a variety of other personal care tasks such as going to the toilet, showering, getting dressed, light house duties.

This role has an expectation of a minimum of 6 months.

The employer for this role is Disability Support Melbourne PTY LTD which is an entity created to manage John's team of support workers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Getting John in and out of bed (slide transfer, lifting machines not used)
• Maintain personal hygiene e.g. showering & using the toilet
• Inactive sleepovers may be required at different times

Skills and Experiences

• Be prepared for guided instruction and collaboration during tasks
• On the job training will be provided

• Police check and vaccination status will be required.
